When I was 14, I assisted at a daycare during summer break.
The first thing I learned was that the children did not want to be there. I had never gone to daycare myself, so I was surprised. It looks like it would be fun when you’re older. Lots of toys and activities.
But little children don’t like it. They may put up with it, might even have a little fun sometimes, but none of them preferred daycare over being home. Not a single one.
They all wanted their mothers. They would stare at the door. We would try to distract them. Some would cry all day long. Some were constantly angry.
I should add that this was a luxe newly built daycare in a small Nordic town where everyone knew each other way back. Not a bunch of random strangers.
The nannies knew the families, but the children still didn’t wanna be there. That was irrelevant. The parents needed the daycare. Nobody asked the children what they wanted. But we could all see it.
After working in a daycare, I could never enroll my children in one.

Reform UK Birmingham strongly condemns the Green Party’s decision to adopt a policy declaring Zionism to be a form of racism.
It comes just days before the third anniversary of the horrific Hamas attacks of 7 October 2023 - an already deeply difficult and painful time for Jewish communities in Birmingham and across the country.
It also raises serious questions here in Birmingham.
Only months ago, Birmingham’s Green Party promised voters that it would work to make Birmingham a city which stands firmly against antisemitism.
Those words now need to mean something.
The Birmingham Green Group must say clearly whether they support or reject their national party’s new policy.
The Greens are at the heart of the coalition running Birmingham City Council, holding the Deputy Leadership and major Cabinet positions. The administration has based its programme on its ‘Fairer Birmingham Partnership’ and promised a city where no resident or community is left behind.
The Liberal Democrat Council Leader must therefore make his own position clear and condemn this decision.
If the Birmingham Greens will not distance themselves from this decision, the Liberal Democrats then have a very simple question to answer: why are they still prepared to govern with them?
At an especially painful time for Jewish people, Birmingham’s Jewish community should know that Reform UK Birmingham stands with them.
Antisemitism has no place in our city.

Shabana Mahmood MUST be removed she is a national security threat to the public, she has now said on the record that you can “almost guarantee” every woman waiting in northern France to cross by small boat has probably been raped on the journey, with some men also abused and threatened,

Every single British Home Secretary is cleared for that job by MI5 and MI6. Shabana Mahmood's file held by British Intelligence services would include her Islamic views and her 2015 participation in helping illegal migrants ashore on the Greek Island of Lesbos. Her MI5/6 file SHOULD have barred her from becoming Home Secretary.
