"Effective altruism" is the kind of thing you get into when you're 15 years old and you've never read a philosophy or history book and you think you're the smartest person in the world. Really embarrassing for any adults who actually take it seriously.

The Internal Medicine program at Rutgers Monmouth Medical Center has 39 residents, and not a single one is an American citizen. Most IM residency programs are 36% non-US international graduates. So the probability of this happening by chance is approx. 1 in 200 quintillion (lol).

These are American residency programs.
Red = foreign resident doctors.
Grey = Americans.
Some hospitals are almost 100% foreign. A lot of these doctors came in on visas. Some have been tied to fake credentials and USMLE cheating scandals.
I pay the premiums. I wait months to be seen. Taxpayer-funded Medicare GME money(over $21 billion a year) is training these foreign doctors instead of Americans.
And I DO NOT even trust these doctors !
Why should we keep funding this?

This may honestly be the “why India is ugly” gene. There’s literally just a gene, or rather an allele, which makes a person very sensitive to stress & stimuli in their environment. Up to 40% of certain White populations have this; most Indian populations completely lack it.
22% of White Americans have an allele that makes them highly sensitive to their social environment and extra courageous in the face of risk. This allele is not found in most Indian populations. We can call it the Sensitive Young Man Gene, or maybe the Texas Cowboy Gene.

The other is social acts like attending in person worship, attending small groups, and speaking to others about religion.
No matter how high one scores on the private dimension, happiness doesn't change at all.
But as social religious behavior increases, so does self-reported happiness.
