Today North Dakota lawmakers passed House Bill 1628 banning synthetic kratom products and restricting the sale of natural kratom products to those ages 21 and older while also requiring accurate labeling. This marks a victory for public health and safety, keeping dangerous synthetic kratom products off the shelves and protecting our young people from the adverse and unknown long-term effects of natural kratom. I have now signed the bill, and the sale of kratom remains prohibited in North Dakota until administrative rules are implemented in accordance with HB 1628. We appreciate the Legislature convening in special session and working hard to pass a meaningful law that protects the well-being of our citizens. We especially want to thank Senate Majority Leader David Hogue, Sen. Michelle Axtman, Rep. Pat Heinert and Attorney General Drew Wrigley for their leadership on this issue. governor.nd.gov/news/updated…

Thank you, Governor Armstrong. Keeping plain leaf kratom legal and regulated is the right approach. Let's go North Dakota!

Great job, Governor! Thank you for listening to advocates of natural kratom, which millions of hard-working, responsible Americans use to help with mild to moderate chronic pain, to get off stronger, dangerous, and deadly opioids, and for general wellness. Kratom is relatively safe and is in the same botanical family as coffee. Today there are many seniors, veterans, teachers, and healthcare workers grateful that you listened and chose responsible regulation instead of a total ban.

naturally occurring 7-OH deserves the same precision.. a clear 10mg limit, testing, accurate labeling and age restrictions make far more sense than a blanket percentage cap that treats fundamentally different products the same

Try doing some research instead of just trying to ban everything out right. Natural leaf powder IS NOT THE SAME AS 7OH! If you're gonna ban everything bad then start with cigarettes and alcohol first. For fucks sake.

Seeing gthat Thief River Falls is creating a moratorium on data centers. Find out what companies and bring them ro North Dakota. Have them contribute to a 'property tax relief fund'. Lets become the data center of the world. Data centers have become the lefts new 'climate change'.

Why was no one answering phones at your office before 5 pm yesterday? Busy signing more NDAs? Maybe covering for pedos? Is there another Holmberg being funded?

Well, best we could hope for depending on how limits around 7OH fall.
