Earlier this year, I held a bootcamp.
A lot of people showed interest, prepared for it, and were ready to learn.
Then one person sent me a DM.
He told me he genuinely wanted to join but couldn’t afford the full fee. He said:
“Please, if you allow me join, I’ll try to pay the full amount. But for now, this is the little I have.”
I let him in.
Not because of the money.
It was the way he approached me. He was genuinely hungry to learn, and I could see that.
Fast forward to today, that same person has given me an opportunity worth more than 200 times the amount he would have paid for the bootcamp.
And honestly, there’s a lesson here.
Sometimes, what someone needs isn't money.
It might be information.
Guidance.
A little push.
Someone willing to say, “Come in. Let’s see what you can do.”
I’m glad I didn’t let greed make that decision for me.
And the beautiful part?
About 70% of the people who joined that bootcamp have gone on to get hired by different companies.
20% have built something for themselves.
The remaining 10% are still figuring things out.
And that's okay.
Sometimes you don't immediately see the return on helping someone.
You never really know what that small opportunity can become.
More to come.
