JD Vance likes to causally use swear words during his press events. It’s the most unnatural sounding thing ever. He’s so bad at cursing. Dude is a complete amateur, I cringe at his cuss.

This is how Cryptica is. I give players nothing but a paise screen with controls. Good luck out there.
I love how Silent Hill Townfall respects the intelligence of the player. No scent trails. Minimal hints and narration. You just get a map with a bunch of locked doors and obscure puzzles. Figure it out. I miss that. Games are more interesting without the training wheels.

I know people are always focused on larger things in video games, like combat, story, etc. but I think this type world building is the best part of video games for me.

This is masterful.
Harvard kids singing Radiohead’s “Creep.” This could have gone very wrong. Then the lead singer opens his mouth. The Harvard Veritones have won at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella — the real-world competition that inspired Pitch Perfect. Turn the sound on for this one.

I saw Resident Evil last night and can confirm it is a certified banger. Very funny and satisfying watch. The creatures looked amazing. Horror is such a fun genre to mix with comedic relief with. Highly recommend even if you haven’t ever played a game.

They are trying to build a huge power plant/data center on a river that runs right up through my hometown. This has me pissed off enough to take a break from game dev make a documentary about it. They are calling it “project river” and it’s gonna decimate forest and rivers.

This is insane I’ve never seen this photo. It’s like the most terrifying backrooms imaginable.
A worker on the 74th floor of the North Tower has managed to e-mail a photograph of the fire on that floor. It looks intense. The dozens of victims remain in our thoughts as rescue and repair efforts get underway.

This is the most eerie thing.
New York City is soused by a heavy thunderstorm as a result of Hurricane Erin, which may hit Long Island and Manhattan overnight. Hundreds of commercial flights on the east coast are delayed or cancelled today and tomorrow.
