Last minute disappointment for @Greenfieldfc
Goals from Ethan Evans and Bailey Roberts had Greenfield 2-2 before being reduced to 10 men before halftime, Greenfield thought they had done enough 2nd half to secure a point but a 90th minute winner for Aston Park made it 3-2

Defeat in our opening league fixture of the season, @Greenfieldfc competed well against tough opponents until the 83rd minute, All 3 of the visitors goals coming in the last 7 minutes of the game leaving the home side disappointed but with plenty of positives to build on,

MAN OF THE MATCH
@Greenfieldfc committee decided that these 2 players, who had numerous offers from clubs to leave during the difficult period but instead chose to stay and help rebuild, showed today exactly why other clubs wanted their services,

4 17 years olds starting and experiencing mens football for the first time done themselves proud. The hard work continues and we'll have our ups and downs over the season but our club is alive. Thanks to everyone who helped for their support. 💙

14 years as manager and this pre season is the hardest Ive experienced. To lose 16 players was hard to take but a massive thanks to the lads who stayed loyal despite the unrest. 7 days ago we had no side so to be able to field a side today was a massive for the club.
Having no pre-season and only 1 training session together @Greenfieldfc got the new season underway in The FAW Amateur Trophy, The game ended in defeat but the biggest result was being able to field a team, A prospect that didn't seem possible just a few short weeks ago
