Use it on accounts you want to have more reach.
The long version is underneath.
The machine does not show your post to your followers. It selects a tiny sample and watches for the first hour.
Sometimes that test is 15 views. Sometimes it is a few hundred. If that sample does nothing, the post is finished.
It already recognizes and likes slop. Faces. Dogs. Cars. Short Video. A joke that is familiar. A fake guarantee. It has seen those convert, so it gives those posts impressions. The Stupid picture I posted got 2300 views and it was labeled Algo Bait.
It does not recognize a fact check, a 2A story, or an argument from a 4 or 5 thousand follower account. Those posts are not banned. They are under-sampled. The model will not try to find out if they are any good.
I watched it on my own page. A post about Jordan Salinas — the armed citizen who stopped the In-N-Out killer — got about 100 views and died. It sat there all day. I quote-posted it. A couple of friends reposted it.
24 hours later: 83,000 views. Same words. Same account. The first test was too small to predict the outcome.
Same split another day. I had several posts at 10–20 views an hour. Then a short video of my daughter in my Tesla. 500 views in the first hour. That clip was not more important. It matched a format the sampler already trusts.
The sampler is a self-fulfilling prophecy. It gives impressions to what it already trusts. Those posts get the test, so they look like winners. Original posts get 15–100 viewers, so they look like losers. Next week people post more of what got the views. The sampler looks smart.
The algorithm does not care about innovation. A new idea catches on slowly, fades into nothing, or goes nuclear. The sampler does not care which. A big account can force the test. Their first sample is already large. A smaller account will not be seen without help. Not because the idea is weak. Because silence in a 15-person test looks like proof.
A like changes the color of a heart. That is almost all it does.
A comment gets some of the sampler’s attention.
A repost is as easy as a like and actually helps the post.
A quote with a real opinion is the strongest move. It is a new post. You get views. The original author does too. Everybody wins.
People think quoting or reposting someone else will hurt their own reach. It does not. That rumor has trained people to only hit the like button. A one-word “this” on a quote looks like a bot. A real sentence on a real post is the winning combination.
There is no haunted-house curse for helping posts.
What is real is overcrowding. Two of your own originals in the same hour split the test. Don’t launch a quote of someone else while your post is still surging. When it cools, spend that reach on accounts you want seen. Reach does not bank. If you keep it to yourself, it is wasted.
Large accounts: we are not consuming your resources. Ignoring smaller accounts does not help you. What helps you every day is smaller accounts spending their reach to give you a larger sample. If I am quoting or reposting you, I am lending you what I have for a short time. Return the favor now and then on a post that should have traveled.
If we are not training the sampler, it is training us. Originality is our job. Sampling is theirs. They will not spend more resources than they have to.
I hope this helps someone.
