Paul McCartney and his brother Mike, a friendship that transcended fame.
Mike McCartney, Paul’s younger brother, built a career of his own in music and photography under the stage name Mike McGear, always seeking to step out of his brother’s shadow. He co-founded The Scaffold in 1962, and in 1974 released his album “McGear” with none other than Paul and Wings as his backing band.
Having grown up together in Liverpool, the brothers always maintained a close bond. Paul was Mike’s best man at his wedding, and although he rarely speaks publicly about him, when he does, it’s always with genuine affection.
