With all due respect to you, Leela, you attended Elon University which is a middle tier college while Hegseth was valedictorian of his high school class, in ROTC the entire time, attended Princeton which requires almost perfect SAT scores and also got a post graduate degree from Harvard. He as well as you served in combat in Iraq. You are really in no position to judge Hegseth's qualifications for leadership in this role. The elderly man, Lance Jefferies, is currently recovering in the hospital. According to family members, Lance's eyes are swollen shut. He has neck injuries, his jaw is swollen. He has blood clots in his leg and also in his stomach where he was kicked. So now he has to stay in the hospital so he can get surgery, and he’s in a lot of pain.” Lance is described as "quiet man who rarely goes out much" and stays at home with his wife most of the time.
