We lost one of the greats of stage and screen today. And, in my book, a tremendous friend and man. I learned so much from him. I will miss you, Patrick Stewart, all of my days. @mang0ld

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work. My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Although sometimes there are good/helpful peer reviews, often enough peer review is used to suppress dissenting or contrarian views. It's common to receive peer reviews that boil down to "I disagree with the author"

BBC, The New York Times, The Guardian and Al Jazeera report on Israeli “settler violence” on the daily. This morning, 2 Palestinian terrorists armed with hundreds of rounds of ammunition attempted to carry out a MASS casualty attack against Israelis near Hebron. 5 Israelis were wounded, including 2 critically. Both terrorists were eliminated by Israeli security forces. Yet hours after the attack, I could find ZERO coverage from any of these 5 major outlets. Why is that?
