One interesting thing that I think should happen is for games and music to collaborate. Let me explain: In the 80s, it was Michael Jackson who invested his own money to make little short films to promote his music - Thriller, Bad, Smooth Criminal, etc. Obviously those videos had a pretty huge effect on music videos at large. We’ve already seen some games combine music and interactivity to create something that neither medium could by itself. But we haven’t really seen the music industry really collaborating with games studios yet to create proper interactive experiences that elevate the music from the artists they represent. But I think that could be really exciting. Music is such an interesting medium cause much like a drug it can instantly create an emotional state within the audience just by listening to it - I think adding visuals and interactivity to the mix could be the next bigger step, so that the audience becomes an active part instead of just a passive one. The design work there would be to figure out how the interactivity should work based on the music - but if done right, I think this could be magic.

Hi, I’m Case! 👋 I’m a sound designer who loves crafting sounds from scratch. Recording, tweaking, experimenting and getting my hands dirty. No dang AI generation here! While the digital world gets more “tokens this” and “credits that”, I’m happy keeping things old-school. 💜

God forbid a game be designed with just the experience the devs have in mind. I get it, some people don't like to be time gated. That's fine. There are also thousands of other games to play as well. If you're looking at a game and you're mad you don't get to experience the story because of the mechanics - either watch some one else's play through, use a mod, or just learn to deal. Believe it or not, mechanics like this effect how the devs want you to experience the story. They're not trying to punish you, they just want you to feel the very real pressure that goes with the passage of time. And, again, it's fine if you don't like it. But there are ways to deal with it beyond "every game should be made with someone like me in my situation in mind". Those games already exist.
I am now certain The Blood of Dawnwalker's time limit should've just been a setting pcgamer.com/games/rpg/i-am-n…

When you're offline, you can call your gay friend a faggot without someone calling for you to no longer be able to speak. Same goes for retards, cripples, midgets, trannies and many other names. As long as folks weren't carrying out an actual violent acts, all was whatever. It used to be the same here. I'm sure this Post will get limited visibility or get me suspended or some shit, which is exemplary of my point, but the pussification of a once lawless land is irritating to see and much more irritating to be in. This new internet is gay as hell.
Use the R-word and I’ll block you, period. It’s vile, dehumanizing, and inexcusable. Stop normalizing it. Call it out. Hold people accountable. And yes, there should be consequences for using language that degrades people with disabilities. Freedom to say something doesn’t mean freedom from consequences. 🤬

𝑩𝒁𝒁𝒁-𝑩𝒁𝒁𝒁 “Ugh.” “What’s up?” “Pft. Just my girlfriend texting some bullshit again.” “Ha, yeah. Women.” “I love her, but damn dude, I hate typing LOL back to all these boring-ass cat videos. She knows damn well there’s only one kitty I wanna see.” “Yeah, I automated all that years ago.” "You automated all what years ago?” “Texting my wife.” “Bro, what?” “I got decades of texts with her, right? So I just fed all of that into the AI, and now it responds for me. The way I would.” “Um.” “But like in a better, funnier, more charming way.” “You don’t even see her texts?” “I get a short summary of our exchanges right before I head home at five.” “Uh, I’m not gonna lie, man, that seems kinda fucked up.” “I thought so too, but it’s done wonders for our relationship. She sends me nudes every day now.” “Really?” “And she can’t wait to hop on my dick once I come through the door. Literally whining for it.” “Get out of here.” “Some days I’ve got to peel her off and say, ‘Sorry Kitten, Daddy’s Cum Cannon is closed today.” “Man, you’re full of shit.” “I’m serious! The AI has her all figured out. Every day it’s texting her the nastiest shit she likes at the perfect interval to maintain the optimal level of horniness.” “The nastiest shit she likes?” “Yeah, I had it analyze her whole Kindle library. To figure out her kinks.” “And you just let the AI do all that? On your girl.” “That’s not even the best part.” “Man, I think we got differing definitions of the word ‘best’…” “The AI even got her to start wearing a panty vibrator. Every day! And it has Full. Remote. Access.” “No.” “She’s getting off all the time, and she thinks 𝙄’𝙢 the one doing it!” “Man, this shit sounds illegal!” “That’s the beautiful part! It’s not!” “You’re telling me you let some godless machine digitally skin suit your dumbass so it can sweet-talk your girl while jilling her bean from halfway across town?” “Technically it jills her bean from a data center in North Virginia.” “Man, that’s the most depraved, fucked-up, morally-deranged—” 𝑩𝒁𝒁𝒁-𝑩𝒁𝒁𝒁 “…” “Another cat picture?” “Tch." “That’s an awfully cute pussy.” “…you know what, fuck it.” “Hm?” “Show me how to set this shit up.” --- [r][title: AutoAmourAI]

Niche game for a niche demographic... and it's doing just fine. You'll note the lack of people whining this game exists. The lack of anyone being attacked that it was made... Why? Because it's not a game wearing another game's title. No one tried to slip it under the radar. They knew what they were making, who they were making it for and did it passionately, and with intention. And the devs are profiting from it. I need this game and Hellraiser: Revival.
A tiny dressmaking game is suddenly taking over Steam. Dressmaker has hit a 96% positive rating and “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews just one day after launch. Even more surprising, it has reportedly climbed to #9 among Steam’s global top sellers, beating bigger titles like Diablo 4 You run a small boutique, make clothes, serve customers, and even sabotage them if you want.

The vampire isn't the part that scares me most. It's the moment afterward. When you're still here. Someone else isn't. And your brain starts asking the question that can never actually be answered: What if I'd done something differently? 🩸 BLOOD OF THE FORSAKEN Read the preview ↓

All the crap games that come out, yet this and Penny Blood can't get made. It's frustrating because Shadow Hearts and Wilds Arms were both some of my favorite game series. It's immensely frustrating.
Development for Wild Arms spiritual successor 'Armed Fantasia' was discontinued by 505 Games parent company Digital Bros. That's a real shame. I know the Kickstarter did really well, but I guess this is part of the risk involved. noisypixel.net/armed-fantasi…

I am absolutely fascinated by the stark differences between the short-form video platforms: Clock App, the Gramsta, X, and The Dreaded Tube Over the last week, I have made and posted 3 different short-form videos to all of these platforms. X is the only place I had an established account and following, the other three are brand-new accounts, barely a week old at this stage. Each platform has a different discovery pattern. First off: your first post on ANY of these platforms is invisible. Nobody is going to see it. That's a lesson: that first post is a throwaway, it's useless even if it's good. Clock App puts your content through a cold test: serve your video to 300 to 500 viewers, and if there's a lot of lingering watch time or engagement, you'll break out to a larger audience. So far my 3 videos are all duds. U-Toob will slowly ramp up your exposure based on what previous viewers do. It's the most "organic"-feeling of the discovery systems. So far, my posts are trudging along at a few hundred to a thousand views, ish? We'll see what develops. The Gramster for some reason decided to give my second post a giant viral boost -- 170k views and 8k likes on the first go. The post will trudge at first and then 'Gram will kinda find your audience. Once it DOES find your audience, your post will go off like a rocket. I now have two very successful posts on 'Gram, 80 new followers, a combined 200k views and nearly 10k likes. - - - So what am I up to? I'm trying to find and build up an audience. When an author hires me to do his audiobook, I want to bring that audience along with me. "Yeah, sure, I'll do excellent A-tier or S-tier narration for you and ALSO I can guarantee that my audience will buy your audiobook" is a very, very strong negotiating position. But that requires some level of star power. I... don't exactly know how I feel about becoming an Internet celebrity, but I'm realizing that that's an extremely strong business model for any kind of performer. I want the audiobooks to sell. And if I have to sell 'em myself to make that happen, then by Gum that's what I'm going to do. Now... if I keep putting out bangers on the 'Gram, how long will it take me to build up that platform to something really valuable...?

I mean. If we're looking to expand. > Fans don't like it > Games journalists start telling them they're racist/sexist > Fans try to argue > Games Journalists and devs start using the fact they argue as examples they are > easily brainwashed people start saying they are > Fans give up, say "Fuck it" > "New" Fans who don't actually buy the games join in with the journalists and devs, making both devs and journalists think they have a new audience > Next game is worse > doesn't even break even > People continue to try to gaslight the fans buy using bad actors as representative of the whole.
Replying to @HAmorata
>Fans don’t like it, start by saying so, move on to aggressive language, personal attacks, escalate to constant bitching, personal attacks, and insulting anyone who doesn’t agree, including new players. Spend decades bitching about things instead of moving on. We’re not culpable!
