Stayed at a nice Hilton in Richmond, Virginia last night. Pleased to see bibles are no longer left in their hotel rooms. I was all ready to deface one too. And of course I had to visit the science museum.

I would love to remind people had some basic media literacy back then. The joke is that a misogynistic Charicature reduced himself to absurdity by calling Jane a slut in response to her well thought out reaponse. The absurdity is why it's funny, not that Jane is a slut.

I have a feeling I'm gonna have to fight for the silkworm part, but it's really how he figured out communicable diseases. The silkworms were spreading the disease by feeding on the same plants as sick silkworms. Pasteur just put 2+2=4 and blew everyone's minds.
I'm just gonna start making up female characters for the Louis Pasteur biopic. Farm wives whose kids kept dying of spoiled milk or rabies. Women who owned taverns, having to throw out rancid beer. The seamstress whose silk keeps running out because of a worm plague, etc.
