Brother
@sneako embraced Islam only recently, and, like any new Muslim, he needs time and patience as he learns more about the faith, including understanding the Islamic ruling on smoking. If he was unaware that smoking is prohibited in Islam and engaged in it because he is still new to the faith, then God will forgive him, and he will learn that it is prohibited.
As Muslims, our approach toward a new Muslim who smokes should be as follows:
Focus on the essential matters first, such as teaching him the concept of monotheism, the meaning of “There is no god but Allah,” as well as prayer, ablution, fasting, and the pillars of Islam and faith, so that he can incorporate them into his life.
Smoking should not be the primary focus at the beginning of his journey. Complete change takes time and requires psychological effort, and imposing restrictions too early may make him feel overwhelmed, inadequate, or embarrassed.
Later, he can be taught that smoking is considered disliked or prohibited in Islam because of its harm to health and finances, but this should not be exaggerated to the point that he feels he has left the faith.
He should be supported in gradually quitting through healthy and psychological approaches, while praying for his steadfastness and ease, and avoiding blame, ridicule, or mockery of his habit.
As for you, you are an unbeliever with no religion. You worship a man and deify him, so how can you criticize a Muslim for smoking when, in our view as Muslims, this is a very minor matter—especially for someone who has only recently embraced Islam?
Ignorant people.
Sneako got CAUGHT smoking a cigarette on stream, showing he DOESN’T CARE about the Islamic teachings he claims to follow 😳
