A fantastic night at @The_Globe taking 60 @HallMeadYr20_25 students to see Macbeth! A wonderful adaptation of a key GCSE set text. Students, as expected, were impeccable.
Interesting idea from this school, although I don't think the schoolkeepers would be too pleased! Keep it up @HallMeadYr18_23, you're doing brilliantly!
Poetry Reading: April
Well done to our Y11 poets! At lunchtime, we hosted a poetry reading in the library. Special thanks to those who read their own poems: Elsie, Emma, Emmanuel, Tori, Daniel and Omar. Amazing poems, professionally performed! Thanks to Mrs O'Brien for hosting!
Today is #WorldPoetryDay, an important day for Team English. So here's a link to Carol Ann Duffy's fantastic poem about teaching, In Mrs Tilscher’s Class:

A message regarding the @scholasticuk Book Fair: if your child was due to attend either yesterday or today, please tell them to pop and see Mr Hart tomorrow break time. Don’t worry, no page will go unturned!
Ever been curious about what your teachers are reading? Now's the time to find out! Your teachers will be displaying these slides during your DEAR time, giving an insight into their interests and reminding you that reading isn't just something we ask YOU to do: we love it too!
Next Wednesday, the 19th, we'll be hosting a screening of the @The_Globe's performance of Shakespeare's 'Macbeth' for our @HallMeadYr18_23 Year 11 students in the hall. Information will be available from your English teacher and a parentmail will be sent out in due course.
So excited for our first open evening since 2019! It's going to be great to see so many faces come through our doors later and see the school that we are all so proud to be part of. Make sure to visit us up in English.
Already a fantastic start to our @SpeakersTrust Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge, @HallMeadYr18_23 completely engaged and learning some great public speaking skills (and having fun, of course!)
Woohoo, it's #LibrariesWeek! 🎉
We think libraries are such special places - but we'd love to hear why YOU love your local library!
