Found out a couple days ago X Premium+ gives you $20 a month in API credits. You have to use it or lose it, so I put my social lead bot Scout to work... He’s running reports on my X account, showed me how to actually use mute so the timeline stays clean. Also pulled inactive accounts I’m following, plus a weekly and monthly review of which posts got the best verified impressions. Pretty informative stuff he is finding.

I’m extremely blessed that I get to work from home. One of the downsides though is Tessie sitting in the garage all week if we don’t go anywhere. This week she’s been parked like I grounded her. Sometimes after dinner I just want to take her for a drive so she can feel alive. At least tomorrow is Friday. I know she’s getting driven this weekend ❤️

I’ll admit it. I’m a Grok fanboy... Yes, you can believe it 😂 One thing I do love about Cursor though is being able to switch models, and I have a lot of respect for the Anthropic ones. Opus 5.5 is out so I wanted to give it a real try... I used it to build a new Laotian rice field level for the sequel... It felt faster than Opus 5, and it didn’t eat through as much of my other model usage either. The first pass already got the theme right. I'll fine tune it, but the set pieces were really good too. Overall I’m very impressed with Opus 5.5. ❤️

Really excited to try Grok Bot in the Tesla. Looks like it’s on SuperGrok Heavy right now, and some people are saying Plus is getting it too. I’m on SuperGrok with Cursor Pro+, so I don’t have it yet. That’s the part that’s weird… SG Plus and Cursor Pro+ are the same bot usage on paper, but one plan gets it in the Tesla and the other doesn’t. They should just line the tiers up. SuperGrok with Cursor Pro. SuperGrok Plus with Cursor Pro+. Heavy with Ultra. Same tools on both sides. Would make this a lot less confusing, plus I could use my bot family in my Tesla.

X Money killed my fun Costco runs. 😢 Can’t use it for the 3% in Costco anymore. Can’t use it for car insurance either. So now it looks like this... Deposit into X Money for the 6%. Costco Visa inside Costco again. Amex for the stuff that has restrictions. X Money card for everything else. Feels a little bait and switch to me, but still the best cash back card I have for most things. Just not one card to rule them all setup I had... X Money at costco was fun while it lasted... I'll always remember the the good times we had like the day I took this pic. 🤣

Last night I actually started using Grok 4.7 and I’m noticing some real improvements. I have a level that’s vertical platforming with jungle swings. In 4.6 it kept packing everything too close together. I even jumped to Claude and got it working, but it was still a chore on touch controls. I started fixing it by hand and was making progress... With 4.7 out I just redid the platforming on that swing section and it got the layout right the first time. Only problem was the level was way too short… which was an easy fix, and it did a great job after... Still fine tuning it, but 4.7 actually gave me the level I wanted. Progress has been great! ❤️

While I am down in central California in October for the wedding, the plan is to hit the Tesla Cafe the day after, on the 25th. It’s about 2 and a half hours from their house, but I think it’ll be worth it to finally see it in person. After that we’re driving the coast home. Stops in Malibu, Pismo, Monterey, which will be a lot of fun… If the Starlink Mini V2 is out by then, I can take my time on that drive and actually work from the car along the California coast. ❤️

On the drive home Sunday my wife got tired and wanted me to take over. We didn’t need to charge, so we pulled into a gas station right off the freeway to swap. She had to intervene and take FSD off just to get us to the exit. It would have taken me too long to sit there typing in a random place. I think FSD needs a “nearest services” button. Gas station, Walmart, rest area, whatever is closest. Not a Supercharger. Just get off and stop... Would have been handy in that moment, and even more handy if it was actually an emergency and you didn’t want to fumble with the screen. Not sure what you’d call it. I just know I wanted it on Sunday.

Had a lot of fun this weekend. Got to see my brother’s new house for the first time and I was so proud of him. It was funny watching him walk me through everything he still needs to do, talk furniture, then cook dinner. He really grew up right in front of me 😂 Next month he’s getting married too, so I’m heading back down to be in the wedding, which I am truly honored... Now if I can only convince him to get a Tesla, he’ll be set 😂

This weekend we drove about 500 miles round trip all using FSD... The only time we did not use FSD was parking... FSD did an amazing job, there was never a moment during the entire trip that we were even tempted to take over. FSD keeps getting better and better!

Our Tesla is named BOYBABY. It’s also our license plate. There’s a story behind that… It is a tribute to our Shiba Inu Zuma, who passed away a little over 2 years ago. Today would have been his 19th birthday. Boy baby was his nickname. My wife raised him since he was small enough to fit in her hand. The two of them were inseparable. I met him when he was 4 and we were instant pals. For the next 12 years the three of us went everywhere together., while the cats stayed home. He loved car rides and was the best little dog. When he became a senior, he started not wanting to leave the house. Then a little before his 16th birthday we rented a Tesla to try one out for a road trip. He instantly fell in love with it. Zuma was back! For the time we had that car he was himself again, riding around like the thing was made for him. When we got our Tesla we wanted to honor the dog we loved like our child. We named the car after his nickname, searched the plate, and when we saw it was available, we knew it was meant to be… We even found the perfect frame for it. We miss Zuma every day. But he still rides with us every mile we drive in BOYBABY.

Heading back home after a nice trip seeing my family… Used the mobile connector to charge on a 120v at my brothers house and was impressed… got there at 45% and charged overnight and got to 71% before we left… Did much better than I thought… My brother is installing a 240 plug for me for next time.❤️

Last night I used voice mode with Grok Bot and I loved every second of it. It felt natural, like I was talking to a real teammate. Voice recognition was spot on, it picked up on every word. I got a lot more done because I could just talk instead of typing everything out. It was also nice to finally put a voice to the avatars and names my bots created for themselves. Only downside, I think voice mode eats a lot more usage than typing. I noticed a pretty good spike. Still worth it, loved the experience. ❤️
