EVs require no DEF.
The entire DEF thing was a disaster. I know farmers whose tractors sat useless in a field because of a bad DEF sensor.
Bought a new 2025 Ford F350 last year. It is diesel and requires DEF fluid. According to @Ford, it should use about 2% DEF fluid. We have been using around 15 to 20%. It has been back to the dealer 4x. They refuse to fix it because it isn't throwing a code. They admit we are burning through way too much DEF fluid, but still refuse to fix it without a code from the computer.
An 800 mile drive cost, on top of the $6.50 diesel, an additional $250 in DEF fluid - each way.
I have only just begun to fight - but after 5 decades of trusting @Ford trucks, they are no longer a trustworthy manufacturer
