An outstanding refutation of PM Carney's double-speak on proposed Canada Labour Code amendments, from @ColleenBauman and @markjrowlinson: thestar.com/opinion/contribu…. Previous misuse of Section 107 would be codified & routinized, even tho' it's still facing court challenges. #canlab

The collapse of the BC NDP should serve as a dire warning for all politicians: voters care about process issues and fairness more than you think. I think the Premier looked at Ontario and assumed voters would sleepwalk him to a majority like Ontarians did for Doug Ford. But unlike Ontarians, in this moment, the people of BC were paying attention, and it's going to cost the NDP with a historic landmark defeat.

This guy is a political embarrassment, a clown, an arsehole that should have exited a long time ago after his mini van, his kids schooling scandal. Conservatives are unqualified and unfit to lead anything !

Thread 🧵👇 11.5 years ago the Supreme Court of Canada rendered its landmark decision in SFL v Saskatchewan: that the Right to Strike is constitutionally protected under Section 2(d) of the Charter and that interfering with that right is unconstitutional. I was there……1/4

🚨The Canadian government wants to make it easier for companies to keep wages low and harder for workers to push back, by weakening the right to strike and collectively bargain. Not on our watch. Send a message to the government now. share.canadianlabour.ca/s/95…

Here’s a tip: you don’t need to sacrifice the constitutional rights of your own workers/citizens in order to contend with the delusional musings and actions of an insane convicted felon and adjudicated rapist.

Unifor will vigorously oppose Bill C-39’s attacks on the right to strike. At a time when workers should be united against the Trump trade war, the government must not entrench new powers to override workers’ right to fair, free collective bargaining. unifor.org/news/all-news/uni…

Privatization means that you pay more. Private profits do not appear out of thin air. In the case of airport privatization abroad, private investors extract profit from airports through staffing cuts and fee increases for travellers and airlines.   buff.ly/ujbJnlW

Scheer is a bubbling idiot 🙃
My fellow Canadians... 🇨🇦 Please stop electing braindead morons like Scheer to public office just because they are labelled 'Conservative'. There is a good reason Cons haven't won a federal election in 15 years. People like this idiot being one of those reasons.
