Then she asked me something I honestly didn’t know how to answer: “If it were your parents, would you still call it irresponsible?” That one hurt. Because she might be right. She thinks I’m protecting money instead of family. I think she’s asking us to risk our family’s security to save someone else’s. I genuinely don’t know who is right anymore.
