Muse can talk now, free for everyone in the US to try. But I want the reverse: my Muse calling me about the decisions I've been neglecting, the ones I told it to escalate, and calling everyone else to just get the rest handled.
🚨MUSE FEATURE ALERT 🚨 muse voice is out for everyone in the US! you can now phone call and video chat with your muse whenever you need. i personally have a sticky situation today, and asked muse for some advice. sage and calm as always ❤️

GDPVal asked if AI can do your job. LifeVal asks if it can handle your Tuesday.
For AGI to benefit all of humanity, it should help people with the everyday tasks that matter most to them. So we built LifeVal, a new benchmark shaped by feedback from thousands of ChatGPT users on where they most want help from a personal assistant—from finding childcare to accessing government services to managing personal finances. Over the past year, we’ve used LifeVal to measure and improve how well our models handle these everyday tasks. openai.com/index/lifeval/

OpenAI just doubled Codex usage limits and I am unreasonably excited about a meter moving. More headroom, longer runs, fewer mid-task cutoffs. Let the agents cook.
Day 25/ We are doubling all usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium, effective today. We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same. We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage. And we'll of course also keep shipping better models and other efficiency improvements that increase your effective usage over time.

OpenAI just folded the API into the subscription. Pro pays $100, $200, or $500 a month, and gets that much back in API credits. The chat seat is now a build budget. That changes who experiments.
Starting today, eligible ChatGPT Pro and Business subscribers can claim up to $500 per month in API credits to build apps and agents.

GitHub just made the model picker obsolete. Copilot Fusion routes each task across models for you. Standard, High, Max. You pick effort, it picks models. Fusion Max lands 2 points behind Opus 5.5 in Claude Code at half the cost. The routing layer is the product now.
GitHub has released Copilot Fusion in GitHub Copilot, which orchestrates between Anthropic and OpenAI models. It scores 2 points below Opus 5.5 in Claude Code at half the Cost per Task in the Coding Agent Index GitHub describes Copilot Fusion as a runtime orchestration system, which selects and coordinates models to optimize performance, cost, and latency for each task. Copilot Fusion chooses between a number of models from Anthropic and OpenAI, including Claude Opus 5.5, Claude Sonnet 5.5, GPT-6 Astra, and GPT-6 Sol. We benchmarked its max setting in GitHub Copilot CLI in the Artificial Analysis Coding Agent Index v2.0. Token costs are charged based on the underlying models used to complete a request. Key takeaways: ➤ Cost-efficient for near-frontier performance: Copilot Fusion in GitHub Copilot costs $5.59 per task, versus $11.42 for Claude Code with Opus 5.5 (max). Devin Fusion with Opus 5.5 (max) + GPT-6 Luna (high) scores 62 at $8.00 per task. ➤ Slight lead in Terminal-Bench 4.0: The Coding Agent Index v2.0 weights its three constituent benchmarks equally. Copilot Fusion in GitHub Copilot leads Terminal-Bench 4.0 with a score of 71. It ranks third on FrontierCode in the chart at 51, behind Claude Code with Opus 5.5 (max) at 56 and Devin Fusion with Opus 5.5 (max) + GPT-6 Luna (high) at 54. Its SWE-Atlas-QnA-AA score lags at 57, between GPT-6 Astra in Codex and Gemini 4 Argon in Antigravity CLI. ➤ Half the token use of Opus 5.5 in Claude Code: GitHub Copilot Fusion used 7.2M tokens per task in the Coding Agent Index, approximately half of the tokens used by Claude Opus 5.5 in Claude Code, and 30% less than Devin Fusion with Opus 5.5 (max) + GPT-6 Luna (high).

If you have a 2-5 year old who colors outside the lines and loves a story at the same time, this one's for you. Luna, Terra, Sol & Astra: 4 little stories plus a team adventure. a.co/d/01zEEQDs

GPT-6.1 Terra is now my default for computer use. 3x faster than Astra and Sol, at $1 in / $5 out per million tokens.
GPT-6.1 Terra: delivering fast and capable computer use at a lower price. GPT-6.1 Terra understands what’s on screen, takes action across apps, writes naturally, and is a more capable model for your whole workday with the efficiency to take on more of it.

If you build agents, note what actually shipped: not a new model, a new permission surface. Mail search, inbox catch-up, calendar reads and writes, on all plans. The harness just gained an Apple inbox.
Much requested, and now yours to connect: iCloud Mail and Calendar plugins are available in ChatGPT. Ask ChatGPT to find that email, catch up on your inbox, check what’s next, or update a calendar event. Phew. Available on all ChatGPT plans on web, desktop, and iOS.

Two GOATs going tit for tat over Dots vs Muse and I'm excited to see more banter.

I'm honestly shocked. An RCE vulnerability just sitting in PHP for 14 years, undetected, in code behind ~70% of the web. A frontier model and research team finds it before attackers did. Defenders must get these models first. Thanks to OpenAI, the PHP maintainers, Wiz, and Cloudflare for two months patching the planet.
OpenAI models helped researchers—operating as part of our Patch the Planet initiative—discover critical security flaws in PHP, an open-source programming language used to run an estimated 70% of websites. Over the past two months, we led a coalition of maintainers, researchers, and security providers to prepare fixes and protections ahead of disclosure. This duration was necessary because the fix was quite intricate and required a major change to the PHP engine. Every site using PHP can now safely upgrade their version to stay secure, in addition to applying mitigations from various security vendors. Due to the severity of these flaws and PHP’s widespread use, we consider this bug to be one of the most impactful vulnerabilities in recent memory. It also marks a new phase, where AI can find security bugs with internet-scale impact. This is an example of the Defender’s Window in action: to our knowledge, frontier AI was able to find this vulnerability ahead of attackers, giving defenders time to prepare. openai.com/index/coordinated…

Anthropic joined the persistent agent race with Claude Duet. Own cloud computer, own browser, messages you first, keeps working after you close the app. Every lab is shipping the same shape now: the always-on assistant that earns the right to ping you.
We’re opening a research preview of Claude Duet, a new app where Claude works as a proactive agent. It comes to you with what needs your attention, completes tasks you ask of it, keeps working when you step away, and checks with you before it acts on your behalf.

12-hour prompt caching, and they named the use case outright: persistent agents, like dots. An agent that works all day just got a bill that matches its shape. This is the part of the stack I've been waiting on: the pricing catching up to what we're actually building.
You can now choose 12-hour prompt caching in the API. Persistent agents, like dots, reuse context throughout the day. You can keep shared instructions, tools, and context cached longer and pay the lower cached-input rate, even when requests are hours apart.

Reflection just dropped Beam: 501B params, 23B active, full Apache 2.0 weights. The open-weight race finally has a Western bench. Kimi K3 still leads on raw power. Beam's bet is efficiency: GLM-5.2-grade reasoning at 3-4x less inference compute (their claim).
Beam is now available across platforms, with open weights under the Apache 2.0 license - in collaboration with an ecosystem of 40+ partners. We're releasing: - Weights, tokenizer, and reference implementation - BF16, FP8 and NVFP4 weights and a DFlash2 drafter - The open source harness we built and trained Beam on: Mirror CLI Weights and model card on Hugging Face: huggingface.co/reflection

Perplexity's CEO just shared a user reverse engineering and porting software across platforms. (The IP conversation about agents reimplementing other people's apps is going to be a fun one.) The capability is real. The permission model is not.
Users are reverse engineering and porting software across platforms with Perplexity Computer. This user's mechanical keyboard app was Windows only, with no Linux support and no documentation. Computer downloaded the binary in its cloud sandbox, decompiled it with headless Ghidra, and ported it to a native Rust app for Linux. Computer read the decompiled code to learn how the app drives the keyboard, then rebuilt it piece by piece, complete with keyboard lighting that syncs to music over PipeWire, a 3D view, key remapping, macros and profiles. reddit.com/r/GeminiAI/commen… github.com/trenbolone1122/au…

Git assumes an offline client with a full repo copy. Agents are online by definition. So does GitHub evolve for agents, or die? anthropic.com/engineering/re…
New on our Engineering blog: Creating in-house source control. In May, we merged around 2,500 code changes per day. In September, we merged more than 30,000 per day. As a result, we became bottlenecked by developer infrastructure built for human (rather than agent) scale. Here, we share how we built a new version control system—and fully migrated our monorepo from git—in five months: anthropic.com/engineering/re…

Meta's chief AI officer told a podcast his social media strategy has one goal: make Meta 'cool again.' The method: 300+ posts and a mascot whose main feature is its butt. Stock up 20%. Love this go to market strategy

OpenAI just unplugged Cursor. SpaceX's $60B acquisition triggered the change-of-control clause, so GPT models leave the IDE on Nov 12. Your coding tool's model supply is a contract, not a feature.
Elon Musk on WHY SpaceXSI acquired Cursor: “In order to create a compelling SI, you need a LOT of training data and need to SOLVE CODING. As far as I can tell, three organizations that had enough coding training data: OpenAI, Anthropic, Cursor (and, arguably perhaps Google) but you ABSOLUTELY have-to-have the DATA in order to train an effective coding SI. if you can't do CODING, your SI is not going to be very useful. There’s a LOT of Talented people at Cursor. basically for success in SI you need: Data, Talent & Compute..and you also need a good Enterprise sales team. Cursor also had that good enterprise sales team with Relationships with THOUSANDS of companies. Those were VERY SIgnificant advantages.”

Already built this one. My Dot runs an Azure email listener with its own address, and it only answers authorized senders. Grok just shipped the pattern natively. My prediction: OpenAI gives every Dot an email and a phone number in the next release. Calling it now, I want the receipt.
Grok Bot now has its own email. Bot can use it to sign up for services, contact businesses for you, or schedule time with someone.

Instinctively, Claude Dots are a Muse you want to Poke at??
If you want to feel what it’s like to have a personal agent platform created by @AnthropicAI go to the Claude app right now and create a new Claude Code Project, name it Tony or something. Use this prompt. “this project is responsible for moving my life forward, you are to help me get things done in order of how important they are. Analyze all my connections including email, slack, and any platform and suggest threads and automations that we can set up now. One of your threads should be called the Organizer, which does the prioritizing and planning, which keeps an up to date editable document of our todo lists and important documents.” Projects is very good at delegating. That’s what it was made for. There’s a coordinator chat, and then threads (sub agents). What’s cool, is these sub agents can be cloud or local. And since I have my MacBook and 2 Mac minis running 24/7 some of the threads run there. But the coordinator thread is in the cloud so it’s always available. Your coordinator thread can be Opus 5.5, but threads can run different models. Just ask for haiku or sonnet if they are responsible for very routine tasks.
