The insanity of people in OSINT to think they know more from just publicly released video footages than the Russia military which have intel assets like drones, satellite, signal intellgience and other means...
Its okay to think you are an expert, but to pretend you gonna be better than entire teams of hundreds, if not thousands of FULLTIME SOLDIERS / MILITARY SPECIALISTS / MILITARY ANALYST that does intel collection and analysis work 24/7 (working in shifts by the way) is pure delusional.
Speaking from experience working as one of those full time shift intel specialist more than a decade ago - you have no idea how much a military collects, analyses and know. In details you would never imagine.

Obviously, we have been tracking Ukrainian advances north of Lyman the entire time. We have tons of backdated geolocations, along with video footage, of the attacks dating back a long time. But the operation was deemed sensitive enough to be protected, similar to what happened in Kupyansk and then in south Donetsk.
However, the operation in Lyman seemed even more protected since even the most in the know and honest Russian reporters seem to be missing it. Or at least silent about it. It was honestly shocking to watch how out of the loop the Russians really were, which I think is in large part due to the collective action of OSINT to avoid speaking about the situation.

Yes, there are some Ukrainian gains.
But let’s be honest: this sector is still a massive greyzone. Both sides are raising flags in contested territory.
The line has barely moved since February. We’re still looking at Ternove–Uspenivka–Zeleny Hai.
In my videos I said many times that Ukrainian forces could use the Vovcha River as a natural obstacle to stop Russian progression.
That's exactly what happened.

This is exactly the kind of Ukrainian operation that works because no one talks about it until everything is already done.
For months, a group of Ukraine’s airborne assault troops worked in complete silence — the information flow was so calm you’d think the internet had taken a vacation.
The commanders said it themselves: no leaks, no “something big is coming” posts, o bragging on social media. Just quiet, methodical work.
That silence hurt the Russians. Their commanders reportedly kept telling superiors that “everything is under control,” even as the situation on the ground kept getting worse.
Eventually it got so bad that Russian battalion commanders were sent straight to the front line — and at least two of them were eliminated by Ukrainian paratroopers.
The courage and professionalism of Ukraine’s airborne assault troops made the operation possible. But the discipline and silence made it effective. Success loves silence.
