Don't come at me and call me vile when your chart very clearly does not support your premise. The IDF's standard-issue sniper ammunition comes in three varieties. All travel at ~790-900m/s. Match that to your chart, none of the bullets are intact at those velocities. Further, the rounds in your chart are 5.56mm M193 rifle bullets. The IDF's snipers use 7.62×51mm NATO, .338 Lapua Magnum, or 50 BMG (12.7×99mm). All are significantly larger and deadlier than the bullets in your chart. So the chart doesn't even apply. You're full of it. I'm right, the pictures are fake, you're crying about faked pictures of sniped children and mad I used information anyone could look up on Google to prove it.
Nope, it is real. And you are vile, Esther. Full Metal Jacket, NATO-grade bullets fired from a certain distance can retain their shape upon contact and entry. Pic related. The New York Times - after deniers like you did the "fake X-Rays meme - confirmed it had gory photographs of the shot children corroborating the X-Rays, but didn't think it was morally right to release them.

So your theory is that the NYT editors lying and doesn't actually have these 40+ accompanying photographs. This is Alex Jones Sandy Hook level. The IDF repeatedly and deliberately shot children - I'm not talking about 17.5 year olds, but prepubescent kids - after evacuation orders were given.

The NYT lied about the IDF bombing Al-Shifa Hospital and the IDF training dogs to rape people, so yeah, they're lying about this. I'm not obligated to believe "oh the photos were so bad we couldn't publish them" bullshit. Doctors in Gaza are on the record being caught lying, executing Israeli captives and Palestinian protestors, and holding hostages in their houses. Believing the NYT reporting hearsay from Gaza doctors and either of them proves anything is what you do when you just really, really want to believe Israel is evil.

Esther, the IDF has admitted to deliberately shooting unarmed children (ages 8 and 10 for example), and defends it on the grounds that they were 'passed the yellow line.' They don't have a policy of actively hunting down all Gazans like the Einsatzgruppen did Jews. But they do have a policy of sanctioning the murder of anyone, including children, who remains in evacuated areas after evacuation orders are given. That's why they killed more children than any military has in the 21st century. It's also how they killed Hind Rajab, whose family 'didn't evacuate on time.' You have some kind of emotional block here that is preventing you from admitting the obvious. Which is a shame because you can be an engaging writer outside of this context, where your commentary is both monstrous and deluded.

Oh wow so you can extrapolate one incident the IDF admits to every claimed incident being true no matter how many times the people making those claims have been caught lying, how the IDF denies them, or the lack of corroborating evidence. That's great, dude. Don't call me monstrous and deluded and use the Holocaust as a cudgel against me to ask me to turn off my reasoning. "Oh Esther, you're such a Nazi. I'm not touching the fact that you clearly debunked my bullshit chart, I'll just change the topic." Fuck off with that shit, mate.

Esther, the fact is that the higher ups defended this: the deliberate shooting of unarmed eight and ten year olds. The defense, more than the incident, is why this has so much implications for policy. And this is not "one incident," they defended other episodes where children were deliberately shot for being 'behind the yellow line,' including in the same CNN interview. There is overwhelming testimonial evidence - from IDF soldiers, Palestinians, and also from the doctors examining the victims - that the IDF ground troops have permission to kill everyone they encounter after evacuation orders are given (some "liberal" commanders veto the killing of young kids and women, others permit it). You don't have to like Palestinians or oppose Zionism to condemn this; nor do you have to agree with the label "genocide." You simply have to be minimally honest and decent. It's mass murder.

You’re still treating every claimed incident and every anonymous quote as settled fact while treating the ballistics problems with those specific X-rays as irrelevant. Those are two different questions. One doesn’t automatically prove the other. The Haaretz piece is anonymous soldier testimony from specific units in the Netzarim/yellow-line area, not an official IDF order or "higher-ups defending the deliberate shooting of unarmed 8- and 10-year-olds." The IDF's public response to that report was that operations are approved at high command, directed at military targets, and that they take steps to reduce civilian harm, and that deviations get investigated. That’s not the same as "we have permission to kill every child who crosses an imaginary line." You compared IDF policy to the fucking Einsatzgruppen in a post aimed at me, then called my commentary "monstrous and deluded" because I won’t treat anonymous Haaretz quotes and disputed yellow-line incidents as proof of a standing order to murder children. That’s Holocaust inversion used as a personal attack on a Jew who pointed out your chart doesn’t match the ammo or the wound physics. You didn’t answer the ballistics. You pathologized the Jew who noticed them. "Emotional block," "vile," "monstrous." That’s not argumentation. That’s trying to make disagreement with you feel like a moral crime so you don’t have to deal with the evidence. If your case is as overwhelming as you claim, you shouldn't need the Nazi analogy or the character diagnosis.

Legitimate targets are not only Hamas members. Legitimate targets include members of any armed groups involved as well as civilians directly participating in hostilities too. Getting these numbers honestly is extremely difficult.

You'd be a bad trial attorney because you can't even evaluate testimony properly. And it's obvious you can't because Palestinians & the doctors were never in a position to know what IDF policy was. So of 3 categories of witnesses, 2 wouldn't even make it into the witness box.

Matthew, you're condescending and using ad hominem. That's evidence you know you're wrong. And you are.

Why are you calling a drone strike shooting? Is it because you can't actually find any examples of IDF soldiers shooting children with their rifles and need to pretend that a mistaken drone strike is the equivalent to headshotting children with a sniper rifle?

This is false, not everyone who cross the line get shot. Israeli intelligence monitor the area with surveillance drones, and tell soldiers on the ground who to shoot because they see the bigger picture. Even if this testimony is from a real soldier, low rank soldiers sometimes don't see the bigger picture, he just assumed that anyone who didn't have clear military markers is a civilian, but the intelligence knows things he doesn't. That testimony (if it's real) is unreliable, it doesn't tell you the big picture.

How would a doctor in Gaza be able to speak to policies implemented by Israeli officials? That’s not how evidence works.
