Had an incident the other night that required my bedside .300blk. Good size black bear showed up, and I had to ward him off. Serious issue came when my WML had a bad contact from mild galvanic corrosion, and was dim and flickering. Putting this on all my batteries from now on.

Thinking about it, I'm genuinely surprised this isn't common practice. Galvanic corrosion happens between any two different metals, even if they're two stainless steels. Any gun you leave at the ready could have issues, until you give it a wack, and shift the contact.
