I also struggle with this! I am big in interacting with my audience, but if it too quiet then obviously there is no one to interact with. I love my friends, my lurkers, and my friendly lurkers.
Before anyone responds, please read everything because I might’ve already addressed what you’re about to say. I know reading is hard sometimes LMAO.
I love and appreciate everyone who gives me their time, whether you’re lurking, chatting constantly, or just popping in to say something every once in a while. Your support means a lot to me, and I never want anyone to feel like they HAVE to talk.
But something I struggle with sometimes is having a quiet chat. One of the biggest reasons I stream is because I love talking to people, interacting, and building a community. And sometimes it’s hard to feel that connection when there isn’t much interaction.
Even when I’m having a great time playing a game, I find myself getting bored or tired faster when I feel like I’m mostly talking to myself. I can yap about literally anything, but I enjoy having that back and forth with people.
If I just wanted to play games and have people watch the gameplay, I’d probably just make YouTube videos 😂
And again, this isn’t me saying lurking is bad or that anyone owes me a conversation. I appreciate everyone who chooses to spend their time with me, even if they’re just hanging out quietly. I just wanted to talk about something I struggle with sometimes because interacting with people is a big part of why I enjoy streaming in the first place. 🩵
