I post game reviews, reactions and gaming moments across a bunch of genres, including Web3. I don't care about portfolios. I'm here for gameplay first.

What's up everyone? I'm still ghost banned after 96 hours. I've been listening to content on how to get rid of it, and the consensus is to give the account an cooldown period. So, I'll be taking an extended break from X in hopes that it does the trick. I'll see you all in a week or two. Cheers!

This indie dev is making a metroidvania where you're a rag doll fighting through a haunted mansion with a giant pair of scissors. - Throw pins to knock the eyes out of the doors that lock behind them - Fight flying crowned gargoyles in mid-air with double-jump combos - Heal by re-threading and sewing yourself back together That's a Maybe from me. Would you play it?

Okay, I take it back! Combat in Cult of the Lamb gets pretty hard once you reach the later dungeons. This is from a follower rescue node in the second last level. Barely made it out alive.

(🧵 8/9) Stray changed my opinion on modern animal sims. You play as a cat who crosses a ruined city to reunite with its "family". I loved the innovative way it introduced puzzles and combat. It's not as deeply discounted as the others, but still worth it at $14.99. store.steampowered.com/app/1…

(🧵 5/9) Valkyria Chronicles is probably one of my favorite turn-based tactical games ever. The way it fuses turn-based mechanics with live action and Valkyries (somehow) really stands out. At $4.99, this is a no-brainer for fans of the genre. store.steampowered.com/app/2…

(🧵 6/9) I picked up a used copy of Shining Resonance Refrain years ago on a whim, and ended up sinking well over 80 hours on it. Yes, it is connect to Sega's Shining series. No, it's not classically a great game, but it hits all the right JRPG notes at $4.99 USD. store.steampowered.com/app/8…

Hi everyone. I found out this morning there's a weird shadowban or bug hiding all my replies, whether they're on your or my posts. So, I just wanted to let you all know that I am still reading your comments and engaging with your content (because it still seems to count towards your stats), even though you can't see what I say for the time being. Cheers! And thanks again for all your support.

Shadowpelt is a fun boss in BL4. He's invisible while his shield is up, and the window to damage his health bar isn't open very long. He's also resistant to all damage types except fire. I like these boss designs where you need to chain certain attacks together.

What do you do when your followers turn on you in Cult of the Lamb? Throw them in stocks until you can re-educate them (or murder them or sacrifice them to a pagan god)!

Providence is actually a decent third-person extraction shooter. I wouldn't put this on the same level as the leading titles in the genre, but it holds up as an Indie game and it's been fun to play so far. Look for my full take on the closed EA later this week.

I know we're all mad at Sony, but that doesn't mean we should turn down free games (if you're still a PS Plus member that is). Here are July's free monthly games hitting PS Plus on July 7th: 1⃣ Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - doesn't need an intro 2⃣ For the King 2 - A 3d turn-based roguelike RPG with heavy strategy elements 3⃣ CrossCode - An older (2018) 2D-HD action RPG with combat that reminds me a lot of Adventures of Elliott Which would you play first?

I need to buy lottery tickets asap because I picked up these two Pearlescent guns up in less than 5 mins! Even grabbing three of them in less than 5 hours is extremely rare. The only drag is that I keep picking up Jakobs guns when my build is made for Torgue and Maliwan 😅

Hyperfist has a lot going for it, I just wish there was more! ✅Fun fast-paced melee FPS combat ✅Awesome punk-inspired art style ✅Doesn't cost anything ❌No meaningful progression ❌Not a lot of levels and enemies What really stood out about the demo was the first-person beat 'em up gameplay. A lot of FPS games include melee combat, but never as the star. It's well executed here, too! There's a good depth of moves to spin into combos, the animation is fluid, and the comic book-inspired VFX add a lot of flair. The controls are also easy to pick up, and pounding away on enemies is really satisfying. The action is set against the backdrop of a rebels vs. corpo theme, brought to life with great cell-shaded art and enemy design. Everything flows together nicely without any significant performance issues. My only real disappointment with Hyperfist is that it's incredibly short because it's a student project. The game's website only shows 6 enemy units in total, and the Steam description says it will only feature 3 levels. That's not a lot of content. The level I played in the demo took me about 15 minutes to complete, so I expect the full game will last about an hour. Then again, it's listed as a free download on Steam! So, if you want to try something relatively fresh, and encourage some future game devs while you're at it, I highly recommend you give Hyperfist a try. I'll leave the details in the comments 👇 #indiegames

I just beat the first Bishop, Leshy, in Cult of the Lamb. Combat so far has been on the easy side, but the visuals and atmosphere are really doing it for me. I assumed I was the bad guy making a deal with the devil, but after the final scene, I'm not so sure anymore.
