I know this account is mostly about home mining, but today I want to share something a little more personal. Over the last few years I’ve been fighting depression. Today, for the first time, I spent the whole day alone with my little daughter… and for the first time in a very long time, I genuinely felt happy. There were laughs, smiles, silly games… and I realized how far I’ve come. I got into home mining because I needed something to pull me away from the negative thoughts. I thought I was buying a miner. Instead, I found peace. Over these past months I’ve learned, built, broken things, fixed them, stayed awake way too late chasing better efficiency, and even had people from the other side of the world jump on Discord calls to help me get a Bitaxe/NerdQaxe running. But the biggest thing I found wasn’t a better hashrate. It was a community. We’re all chasing the same dream, finding that block, but along the way we end up finding something even more valuable: friendships, kindness, purpose, and people willing to help complete strangers. It doesn’t matter if you’re open-source or closed-source, Team Bitaxe, NerdQaxe, Hammer, MagicMiner, or anything else. This community is genuinely something special. Been a little quiet here for the past few days… I’ve been experimenting with something new 👀 I installed 5TratumOS, and I have to say, so far, it’s been a really satisfying experience. An old laptop + an external 2TB SSD somehow worked a small miracle. It’s up and running, with ping sitting around 2–5ms, which is great for testing. I haven’t even explored half of what it can do yet, but I’m especially curious to give 5tratMux a proper try. Combining AI with home mining and pool management feels like something from another world Still a lot to learn and test. Has anyone here already tried 5tratum OS or 5tratMux? Would love to hear your experience.

My thoughts after testing the new @PowerMiningFarm rental service for 2 days: Overall, I had a really good experience. • Average hashrate was consistently above the advertised 4.8 TH/s, sitting around 5.3 TH/s over the rental period. • My best share reached around 360M, so the miner was definitely putting in real work. • Setup was effortless, just add your Bitcoin address and you’re mining within minutes. The biggest limitation, in my opinion, is that you’re currently locked to the default pool. Once users can choose their own pool, I think this service will become much more appealing to the home mining community. Great start, plenty of potential.
