OMG that takes me back. We had a local hobby center which had a monsterous 12-car track in a huge facility...must've been 10,000 s.f. You brings your H.O. car, pay your fee, and you're off to the races! It was a great way to spend an afternoon, having fun, meeting and playing with other kids, an important social node of its time.
