HyperSens Lab at University of Melbourne is led by Prof. Zarco-Tejada, focusing on hyperspectral Remote Sensing for vegetation stress detection & biosecurity
"30+ Years of Precision Technology for Plant Science, Biotechnology, and Agriculture".
Great lecture by @EddieCustovic, Managing Director of Scientific Instruments Australia (@PSI), delivered to the Master’s students of Advanced Crop Monitoring Methods at @SciMelb @UniMelb.
Great day at @SciMelb Open Day! We presented our airborne facility and showed how hyperspectral + thermal sensing detects plant stress (biotic & abiotic) before symptoms are visible. Hands-on demos highlighted how sensors can see beyond the human eye in early detection of stress.
Excited and proud to welcome our new Postdoctoral Research Fellow, @danielle_ydtang. Her research will focus on integrating remote sensing & plant physiology for drought resilience, with @TomasPoblete17 & Prof. Michael Tausz, in the DAFF-funded Survival Signatures project.
Our latest paper, led by Peiye Li as part of her PhD thesis, disentangled the roles of the blue spectral region and SIF in predicting nitrogen and phosphorus in Pinus radiata using hyperspectral imagery.

Welcome to our new Master of Engineering (Electrical) students Jiahang Lu, Haoming Tian, Chen Qi and Jinyao Zhai who started a project @HyperSensLab on real-time flight tracking of @UniMelb Airborne Remote Sensing Facility @engunimelb for improved hyperspectral image acquisition
Excellent research project presented by Jiajia Huang and Qiwei Meng @unimelb University of Melbourne & @engunimelb Melbourne School of Engineering & HyperSens @SensHyper on photosynthetic plant trait estimation with #hyperspectral data and artificial intelligence #AI. Congrats !
