Grok Bot vs Hermes Bot Mode is actually a much easier decision than people are making it. Neither one needs to “kill” the other. They’re built for different people. Grok Bot makes a ton of sense if you want: - a managed experience - cloud-hosted agents - minimal setup - something you can sign into and start using without becoming the sysadmin of your AI team Hermes makes a ton of sense if you want: - control over where your agents run - your choice of models and providers - different models for different bots - custom skills, memory, tools and personalities - recurring routines - bots that can message and hand work to each other - an agent system you can keep extending as far as you’re willing to take it That’s really the split. Grok Bot is closer to: “I want an AI team. Make this easy.” Hermes is closer to: “I want to BUILD my AI team.” And there are a LOT of people who should choose the first one.
