The reason that Jirachi SIR was so important is that Jirachi is known as the Wish Pokémon. In one of its Pokédex entries, it is said it spends most of its life hibernating and will wake once every thousand years to grant any true wish. It doesn't wake up for just anyone, but will wake up from its slumber if sung to by a voice of pure heart—like a child. May he rest in peace. 🕊️
