At my direction, the state of Indiana is cutting the cost of debris removal for eligible Hoosiers communities impacted by August’s severe weather. FEMA will pay 75% of costs, the state will now pay 18.75%, leaving only 6.25% for eligible communities to cover. I want to make it clear that Hoosier communities, from our rural towns to the suburbs of our capital city, will not shoulder the recovery effort alone.
