To be held on 15-18 December, 2026 in collaboration with ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition, the course is focused on strengthening knowledge, research capacity, and policy understanding in nutrition and public health. We’re delighted to share that we recently met to review progress on the STAR-NCD project, an ICMR National Health Research Priority initiative in Tripura, with discussions focused on implementing Model 2 across the district. The meeting included ICMR representatives, CCDC and the AIIMS team to review implementation progress, strengthen medical college engagement, and explore sustainable approaches for NCD care delivery. Key areas of focus included strengthening hub-and-spoke systems for laboratory testing and telemedicine, capacity building, follow-up and disease control, monitoring mechanisms, and long-term sustainability. Strengthening Cardiac Rehabilitation in India with Yoga & Naturopathy professionals From 27–29 August 2026, the Centre for Yoga in Public Health Research (CYPHR) at the Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC), New Delhi, in collaboration with the National Institute of Naturopathy (NIN), Ministry of AYUSH, Pune, conducted a 3-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on Naturopathy and Yoga-based Cardiac Rehabilitation at Nisarg Gram, Pune. The programme brought together Yoga and Naturopathy practitioners for three days of learning, discussion, and practical insights into the prevention and management of cardiovascular diseases. The sessions explored primordial, primary, and secondary prevention, along with cardiac rehabilitation, patient assessment, lifestyle and behavioural interventions, and the role of Yoga and Naturopathy in supporting cardiovascular health.
