I pledge to inform the people

Ray Daniels agreed that, Kendrick Lamar’s “to pimp a butterfly” album was over hyped. They said, most people didn’t wanna be honest about the album, but according to them, majority of the people didn’t like the album. I never understood the hype behind that album; obviously, Kendrick Lamar’s “alright” is a big song in the culture but, that album is not what people claim to be. Even when, I look at the billboard 200, I can’t find it there, and the album is not that old, it came out in 2015, so if that album is that good as some people claim to be, it should still chart on the billboard 200.

Ye washed jay z on “watch the throne”, this feels like a ye album, and jay z just features on it. I feel like jay z was trying to stay relevant by riding on ye coattail. Obviously they got one of the most legendary songs in hiphop “nggas in Paris”, but listening to that album, you realize that, ye has all the stand out verses on that album. I feel like ye doesn’t get enough credit for that album, because the guys in mainstream hiphop media wanna act like that’s a jay z album.
Ye & JAY-Z’s legendary unreleased track “Living So Italian” has surfaced online 🤯🇮🇹 The 'Watch The Throne' era track had long been seen as one of the biggest unreleased “grails” in music and was widely believed to be almost impossible to obtain, partly because of how tightly locked down the ‘Watch the Throne’ sessions were. It samples Andrea Bocelli’s “Por Ti Volaré” (Spanish version of “Con te partirò”), and for years, only fragments of the track had made their way online.

Akademiks said that, he was chocked when he saw that drake’s habibti (fomo) is on pace to sell 65k. Akademiks said, “this is insane man, and sometimes I forget how huge of an artist Drake is”. Akademiks couldn’t believe that a 4 songs added to the album would bump the sells that much higher. Akademiks added that , sometimes he forget how popular Drake is, because of how easy he can communicate with Drake, and he feels like Drake acts just like a regular guy. In my opinion, Drake is just making great music and the fans are showing full support, because at end of the day, fans wouldn’t be listening to it if the music wasn’t good. And plus, I feel like there’s a demand of good music, and I think Drake is delivering.

Omi in a Hellcat told Shawn Cotton from say cheese that, rappers are corny for turning into streamers. Omi in a hellcat added that, rappers used to call streamers nerds and now they wanna be in the field with streamers. I have to agree with him, I honestly never saw this day coming; rappers used to literally call streamers losers, and now they wanna hang out with streamers.

Adam22 asked charleston white how does he feel about what happened to bloodhound Q50 at the gas station, and all hell broke loose. I know, Charleston white is funny at times, but this was too much for my liking. I don’t even understand what’s the point for him saying all this; like what point is he trying to prove? And by the way, I feel like Adam22 almost knew he was gonna have this reaction, so I don’t even know why he asked him this question.

They’re saying that, if Travis Scott would get on Drake’s “solar eclipse and cold shoulder” instead of Don toliver, he would ruin the songs. It’s people that believe that Don Toliver is better than Travis Scott right now. In my opinion, an artist like Travis Scott is hard to have a long career, because he raps about nothing; at some point the audience gets tired. And by the way, everybody gets their turn and it’s just Don toliver time right now; and that’s just how the music industry goes.

They say that Kendrick Lamar makes better music than Drake, so how come GNX ain’t selling at least 10k a week? Are you telling me that Kendrick Lamar’s “gnx” is so good but nobody is listening to it? And I could swear that people called gnx a classic. Kendrick’s gnx gotta be the most overhyped hiphop album ever. And just so you know Kendrick’s gnx album is charting at #152 on the billboard 200. There’s no way that album is at the bottom of the charts and it just came out in 2024.

People don’t talk enough about the business behind drake’s “ran to Atlanta” song. For the fans this is just a song, but for Drake, this song was a statement. On make them pay Drake said, “And don't be suddenly eager to hit me up and have no discussions either, Now you gotta plan a meeting with me just like the Russian leader And shake my fuckin' hand in front of other people”, so drake’s ran to Atlanta is literally future shaking drake’s hand in front of the public, cus let’s not forget that the battle with Kendrick Lamar and Drake started with future & metro boomin “like that” song. Therefore, if everything they were talking about Drake was true, Future was supposed to stand on business and not be on that “ran to Atlanta” song.

Akademiks said that, during the battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, Drake told Ak to call the battle for what it was, cus he wasn’t interested in akademiks being bias. According to akademiks, Drake told Ak, “I’m gonna rap, and you do your job as media; don’t be like these other goofies in media who are mad at me because I didn’t give them an interview”. Akademiks added that, Drake said that he felt like the other guys in media wanna him to take a loss for whatever reason, but he still wanted Ak to call the battle fair regardless of their relationship, and if ak felt that Drake did something that wasn’t it, Drake wanted Ak to call the battle for what it was.

Akademiks said that, he believes Kendrick Lamar wanna be the number one guy, but he doesn’t wanna put the number one work. He added that the reason why Drake he is still here, it is because, Drake is still putting tremendous amount of work. According to akademiks, even though in some people’s mind, Kendrick Lamar could rap better than Drake, but they will never say that Kendrick will overall beat Drake in a long run because Drake just works harder than him.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Mr. morale & the big steppers” album is probably his worst album; and by the way, the album came out in 2022 and it already exited the billboard 200 charts. Drake’s “iceman” album is probably gonna go as one of the greatest albums of the decade. And let me add the fact that iceman is still on top 10 of the billboard 200 after 4 months of being released.

Why is Pharrell in the studio with SZA? It seems like, since Drake dropped iceman; Pharrell has been in the studio with everybody. And by the way, he’s not even making hits. Brother just go back to doing fashion. He already ruined Quavo’s album and he’s bout to ruin sza’s album. Pharrell should just keep making beats for Pusha T, at least nobody would care.

Why people all of a sudden don’t wanna talk about the charts and numbers anymore? In 2024 people was so exciting with numbers Kendrick Lamar was doing, but now since Drake is back at number 1; that’s when ya’ll don’t wanna talk about the charts anymore. And by the way, this not like back in the days when the artists care about the music before the money. Artists themselves wanna talk about the charts and numbers, cus that’s how they get their leverage when they negotiate with labels. And by the way, you can still talk about the art, but I bet you won’t cus everyone else is not doing it. Y’all don’t even talk about the music y’all claim to love; y’all just wanna talk about whatever gets you paid. Stop looking for the problem, when you are the problem yourself.
and that’s why it’s dumb to use charts and numbers to discuss who’s the “best” Most this stuff is manipulated. Let’s get back To the ART

Drake got 3 songs on Apple Music top 25 in Los Angeles. How you go from saying Drake is not who the culture is feeling to him running your city? And this is how you know Drake chess game is so strong; we literally saw Kendrick Lamar’s associates crashing out over Drake’s “2 hard 4 the radio” song. And for the people who are still asking where they play Drake at, well, this picture is just a little evidence for your question. Y’all remember when Drake said, “House on both coasts, but I live on the charts” on survival? well, he definitely didn’t lie.

What else ya’ll expect az chike to say? How is that everybody heard a Kendrick Lamar verse from his album, and now he’s saying there was never a verse? And why he didn’t say this then? And by the way, they still haven’t reported his first week album sells. It’s probably cus the numbers are lower than 9k. And ya’ll need to stop with this narrative that az chike is the new face of the west coast; this guy is not even talented enough for that.
AZ Chike confirms Kendrick Lamar NEVER took off a verse from his album “He ain’t take a damn thing back. There never was a verse … But that man stayed with me [for the whole album]. I’m thankful for that.”

People don’t talk enough about the impact Drake makes in hiphop culture. Drake will literally like or repost a fans video; and all of a sudden that person life changes by going from nobody to somebody. I don’t think Kendrick Lamar got that same power, and that’s exactly why he won’t post az chike’s album on his social media platform, because he knows, it won’t reflect on the album sells. For instance, Drake and Lucki were exchanging posts on instagram when Drake was dropping “iceman”, and lucki was dropping his album the same day as Drake. And lucki ended up selling 51k first week and his album Landed #9 on the billboard 200; that simple interaction he had with Drake definitely boosted his sells. On the other hand, dj mustard album first week sells in 2024 was 18k; and by the way, this is after he just produced Kendrick’s not like us, so we can see that Kendrick Lamar co sign doesn’t have any real impact.

There’s no way that Justin hunte and stat quo are promoting gambling lol. I know, I’ve seen juntin hunte not only criticizing Drake and akademiks for gambling, but he usually brings people on his platforms so they can bash Drake for that. All I see is grifters. I wonder what’s their excuse; these people just keep on exposing themselves.
🚨GAMBLING GROOMERS UNITED After months of labeling Drake a “gambling groomer”. Hip Hop Hall Monitors Justin Hunte and Stat Quo are now promoting an AI GAMBLING APP on their 3rd Verse Podcast aka The Daily Drake. Will they receive backlash from “The Culture” ?

And this is why I can’t take these people serious. Most of these guys that claim, they hate Drake; they really are grifters. They use Kendrick Lamar fans to support their hate against Drake. And by the way, they barely talk about Kendrick in their channels unless it’s Drake related. It’s so interesting that, people look at Kendrick Lamar like a guy with morals and values, but all these people he empowered are full of hate.

Drake is always ahead and of the curve, and by the way; anyone that think Drake is just lucky, you’re a fool. Drake and his team have to be smart and very strategic to be successful longer than a decade. Drake literally integrated the stream culture on his iceman roll out and he didn’t do any interviews; he’s definitely telling us that he left the old system behind. If you really think about it, Drake is his own media now. And I definitely agree with akademiks here, rappers need to embrace the new media to be successful, and remember, the fans are media too in a way.
🚨 Akademiks says Drake is a GENIUS for understanding the shift from old school hiphop media to streamers and independent creators Ak says Drake gets criticized for working with streamers, but argues that’s exactly why he’s winning: “He knows where the audience is.” He says Drake, The Weeknd and Playboi Carti, Cardi B all understand the new media game and how important creator relationships have become. “The game has just changed.” Ak says some traditional hip-hop journalists have become “antiquated old dinosaurs” because the biggest artists no longer rely on them for access or influence. He points to newer independent creators like What’s The Dirt as people who have found their lane and adapted to the new ecosystem. Ak also says Lil Baby benefits from not constantly going back and forth with media personalities online. Via No Jumper

Akademiks gives Kendrick Lamar credit for acting mysterious and ghosting his fans . In my opinion; Kendrick Lamar uses being mysterious tactics to sell albums. I don’t think he’s exactly what he’s fans believe him to be. If Kendrick Lamar was in public all the time like Drake; people probably wouldn’t like him as much, cus you have to understand when people see you often, they nitpick everything about you. And that’s why I feel like Kendrick hide himself so he won’t be exposed. It actually takes guts for you to be someone like Drake who is in the presence of the fans pretty often.
🚨 Akademiks defends Kendrick Lamar’s decision to stay mysterious while debating how Drake manages to keep superstar aura despite being so accessible Adam22 questions whether Kendrick would keep the same aura if fans saw him constantly around people on camera. Ak pushes back and says Kendrick is smart for protecting the persona his music created: “You just don’t show. You don’t be forward facing.” Ak says Kendrick lets the audience build the mystique instead of overexposing himself: “He just kind of fell back.” And says that distance ultimately works: “It’s profitable for him.” Via No Jumper
