The school year is underway, and our Happy Happy Market is here ready to remind our families that they never have to walk this journey alone. 💚 Located in the Family Resource Center wing of the @IPROMISESchool, the Happy Happy Market is more than a place to pick up essentials. What started as a simple promise to meet our families where they are has grown into something so much deeper: a space where barriers are removed, burdens are lifted, and families can find the things they need to feel supported, cared for and ready to thrive. 🙌 Together with our family at @ACRFoodbank, we’re continuing to make sure our families have access to fresh food and everyday essentials, from clothing and shoes to toiletries, all at no cost.  Supporting our students means supporting the people who love them, too. And at I PROMISE, we’ll always show up for our families, meet them where they are and make sure they know they are never alone. 💚

Nine years ago, we made a promise to show up for our students, believe in what they could become, and walk alongside them every step of the way. 💚 While so much has evolved within our I PROMISE ecosystem, the heart of that promise hasn’t. 🙌 As we welcome another class through our doors, we’re excited to continue watching students grow, families become stronger, and our community come together. 👏 From the House system to I PROMISE Athletics and everything in between, the I PROMISE School has evolved alongside our students, building growth, accountability, camaraderie and, most importantly, family. ❤️💛💜🖤💙 We believe in our students. We believe in the power of education, the strength of our families, and the bonds that carry us through life’s ups and downs because “We Are Family” isn’t just something we say. It’s a way of life. Year 9 is more than just another chapter. It’s another year to believe in what’s possible. ☺️

At the I PROMISE School, every morning begins with Promise Circles. These are intentional moments where our students and staff come together, listen to a song, share what zone they are in and ground themselves in their Habits of Promise. They know that whatever they share they are heard, supported, and valued. This has created a foundation for growth and strong relationships within our classrooms where all are ready to take on the day together. 💚

Starting the season off strong! 😤 IPS Soccer brought confidence, skill, and teamwork onto the field for their first win. ⚽️🔥   Come cheer them on at the next match on Monday, Sept. 15th at Jennings CLC at 4:30PM.

It’s a beautiful day in Akron for some HOUSE MANIA! ❤️💛💙💜🖤 From 3rd-8th grade, all 5 houses came together with energy, unity, and family by learning their house cheers and officially meeting their House Leaders & Captains. Their incredible house spirit was put to the test as our scholars cheered on their teachers and staff in the inflatable race. 😂👏We couldn’t ask for a better start to the school year here at IPS. #WeAreFamily

Day one, year eight. 🥹💚 We welcomed our students back to the @IPROMISESchool and back into a space filled with love, belief, and endless possibility. From the first good morning to the last bell, we are reminded why this work matters, because our kids deserve a community that will never stop showing up for them and will always remind them of their limitless potential. 🙌   Eight years in, and the promise only grows stronger. Here’s to another year of learning, believing, and proving that nothing is impossible when we do it together. 💛📚

Can you feel the creativity in the air?! 🤩 This summer’s Art Camp has our I Promise students diving into so many mediums of art including cardboard faces, colorful emotions from sound, and carving their own rubber stamps for printmaking. 🎨 Thanks to the amazing artists from @CuratedStoreFRT, this camp continues to be the highlight of summer as it sparks passion and creativity in our students. 🙌😁

Year 3 of IPS Track has officially wrapped up an incredible season full of dedication and growth. 🙌 Their commitment to living out their promise of staying active continues to prove that success is earned through hard work, heart, and belief. We couldn’t be more proud of our student-athletes and can’t wait for Year 4 of IPS Athletics! 😁

IPS has talent! 🤩✨ These promise keepers lit up the iconic Cabaret stage at @House_330 with incredible performances at this year's talent show showing off their passions, creativity, and unbelievable confidence! 👏 We love seeing our students strive for greatness and own their promise of trying new things.

The sky's the limit! Our 6th graders took flight on an adventure with @KentStateCAE! ✈️ From stepping inside real aircrafts to diving into the science of aviation, our students got hands-on with flight simulators, practiced airport communication like real pilots and air traffic controllers, and discovered what it takes to keep planes flying safely and smoothly. 🙌 Future aviators in the making! 🧑‍✈️

Five Houses. One IPS. 🙌 We’re proud to introduce our newly selected House Leaders from our rising 5th grade class who will lead Ore, Shorisha, Nkramo, Perpetuo, and Tumanaka next year with pride, purpose, and passion! 🎉   Each of our five houses now has a new voice to represent them, inspire their peers, and carry the spirit of one I Promise School forward. ❤️💛💜💙🖤

Field Day = Best Day! 🥳 It was an epic field day filled with energy and fun! From relay races to cooling down with the @KONAICE truck, every moment was a celebration to send our students into the summer! ☀️   And the highlight of the day? An unforgettable water balloon fight with Mr. Daley! This is what it’s all about: working hard, playing harder, and growing together. 💚

Why did the beaker go to school? Because it wanted to be a graduated cylinder! 🎓🧪 Our scholars earned an explosive, hands-on science experience with Mr. Michael Green’s Science for Everyone show! Learning never looked or felt this cool! 💥🚀
