( Day 2 of looking into it ) and honestly the product clicked after I looked at [ @Kingpickle.] - He’s BAYC #8554 + MAYC #18132 and has been around the Ape ecosystem since the early days. He launched @DENGSonApe on ApeChain in Jan 2025 around 4,700 pieces and kept building after the mint metadata tools, style switches, holder games and DengPad. - then @apecoin brought him in for product in nov 2025. he worked on games, activations and onchain stuff before being let go during the may 2026 ApeCo reset. He went back to building independently and a few months later TMF showed up. the idea is what caught me next > 4,001 seats across 5 onchain funds, weekly votes on allocation, profit-taking and expense ratio, an ERC-6551 briefcase for dividends, mergeable Seats, and no owner pause or upgrade path. the picture isn’t really the product. Imo The Seat is. 🪑 still pre-mint phase , so the mechanics have to prove themselves in public. but the builder already has a solid track record of shipping. The 1969 launched on Ethereum 1,969 monochrome pixel portraits an 8 trait builder and the same deadpan bust style Emerald even posted himself building one June the project was basically gone Site 404 Discord expired X deleted floor collapsed community moved on Then September → zaddr appears 2,800 faces you can see, owners you can’t Shielded Zcash narrative readable names Studio whitelist grind And the art looked familiar because according to researchers the underlying art system was extremely similar to The 1969 Same pixel language Same trait stacking Same generator vibe Reportedly studio files still contained “the 1969 portrait pixel art system” Same sprites Same layer order Colors changed, some traits removed enough to make the connection less obvious ______________________ The part people keep skipping..... This wasn’t simply all pixel PFPs look alike It was an old art system being relaunched on another hot chain after the original collection had already died zaddr still minted 2,800 NFTs Failed extra payments were automatically refunded reportedly 13.46 ZEC to 578 wallets that paid but didn’t receive a face The team said they paid an artist and that similar art doesn’t mean the founders are the same That addresses one question It doesn’t erase the alleged reuse of the art system And a refund for an overpayment isn’t the same thing as proving a collection is original ______________________ Then the timeline did it's thing.... KOLs + grind communities pushed WL tasks with little apparent provenance checking The obvious question was...... Have I seen this generator before? Emerald already had The 1969 in his own mint history The expose came after roughly 2,500 @zaddrnet NFTs had already minted Dex’s criticism was basically if you personally used the original collection why did the art connection only become a major issue after the mint? Then came the familiar disclaimers: We only posted because it was a task Everyone should DYOR NFA But a disclaimer after promotion isn’t the same as doing the research beforehand ____________________ Why people call it A “RUG” Not necessarily a textbook liquidity rug No one simply pulled an AMM pool and disappeared The criticism is different........ dead collection → familiar art system → new chain FOMO → whitelist grind → mint → delayed expose Copy the carcass Sell the nostalgia Hope nobody checks the provenance ______________________ Aware NOTE This is an allegation stack, not a courtroom verdict Solid observable..........
