I’ve been receiving a lot of DMs from people asking me how I come up with story ideas.
So, I’ve decided to help…
I’ll be consistently posting story prompts that, if well-developed and well-written, can potentially land you an exclusive contract.
WEREWOLF PROMPT 1 (Forbidden Love, Rejection)
Note: you can also mix other troupes while writing.
I was the hidden twin, the “evil” one my own father locked out of the palace. Then I found my mate — kissing my sister. He rejected me on the spot. Two nights later, I woke up in a stranger’s bed, and he turned out to be an Alpha too…

The scent hit before I understood it, something ancient, calling straight to my wolf. My feet moved before my mind caught up, pulling me through the gardens until I found them.
Two figures locked together in the moonlight.
They were kissing.
One of them was my sister.
And the man she was kissing was my mate.
A sound tore out of me, half whimper, half moan, before I could stop it.
They broke apart. His nostrils flared. He’d caught the scent too.
Mate, my wolf purred.
His eyes swept over me, disbelief curdling into disgust. “You? How the hell are you my mate too?”
“A maid,” Lyra said coldly, smoothing her dress. “Just look at her, Cassian. What else could she possibly be good for?”
He straightened to his full height, wrapped a possessive arm around my sister’s waist, and said the words that would end me.
“I, Cassian Ashwood, hereby reject you, Anara, as my mate.”
“NO—” The scream tore out of me. “You can’t do that.”
He took one step closer, voice dropping to a snarl. “Say another word and it’ll be the last thing you ever say.”
I ran. I didn’t stop until Lyra’s voice sliced through the dark behind me.
“And where exactly do you think you’re going, witch?”
“That’s none of your business.”
“After you tried to steal my mate?” Her eyes gleamed. “I swear by the Moon Goddess, take one step out that door and there will be blood. And it will be yours.”
I bolted anyway.
Behind me came a growl that stopped my heart. She’d shifted, just to chase me down.
I ran until my lungs screamed, until I crossed the border into enemy territory and she skidded to a halt, unwilling to follow. Then the ground rushed up to meet me, and everything went black.
I thought that was the end.
But then light flickered above me, and when my eyes finally focused, I was lying in the most luxurious room I had ever seen in my life.
