This is where the City case could become MUCH bigger than a points deduction. Premier League clubs had lawyers preparing potential compensation claims BEFORE the verdict even arrived. Burnley have already shown the route, winning roughly £35 million from Everton over one financial breach, although that decision is under appeal. Now imagine clubs trying to price missed titles, Champions League places, prize money and commercial income across several seasons. Whatever sporting punishment City receive might only be the first bill.
