Yards after contact is cool and all BUT it gets skewed by big runs sometimes (like anything). Solution: Percentage of carries to gain 3+ yards after contact. Current leaderboard among all RBs with 15+ carries this season:

Not every stat is meant to simply be about fantasy points haha just does a better job of showing who is running especially hard than raw YAC in my occasional humble opinion

These numbers are hilarious...I saw Chase Brown runs behind the #1 ranked run blocking line...only he has -54 yards before contact. So somehow their line is blocking great, but he's getting hit in the backfield almost every carry....

this stat is not meaningful. Breakaway yards (aka the skewing of long runs) are specifically the only surplus value that RBs provide relative to one another

Could do something similar to what is done to account for big play receivers. First downs gained after contact. Would imagine high in both is a loud ass signal. High in YAC only could suggest a big play merchant. High in 1DAC only could suggest a low explosives chain mover.
