If you talk to MN teenagers they will tell you that they are fine with anyone being in the schools. MN is not racist, especially the younger generation. But they are disturbed that the Somali students are allowed to do almost anything with no punishments. Other students are disciplined, punished, expelled and yet nothing happens to the Somali students. They get treated as a special class and they now know this and take advantage of it.
Our teachers, administrators, police, judges, government officials, and also Somali leaders are allowing Somalis to not assimilate and to abuse the system and their neighbors. This will lead to the destruction of our communities, and I believe we need to clearly name the problem because it’s not wide spread throughout, it’s a clearly defined group. Once we name it and admit it, then ALL of us can work to fix the problem with our new neighbors and get a community where all can thrive.
