At least 29 of 78 diplomatic staff at Russia's embassy in Serbia are linked to or may have ties to Russian intelligence services, Agentstvo reported. Nineteen employees have links to the Defense Ministry or GRU, while others are linked to the FSB or SVR. Several others have backgrounds, addresses or previous jobs suggesting possible intelligence ties. Russia has only 18 diplomats in Bulgaria, whose population is similar to Serbia's.
