Sometimes I desperately want William to be King. Other times I look at his children and think, no, let him have these years with them first.
But when he does become King, I hope he considers one great act of compassion towards Harry and Meghan.
Given how much pain, grievance and unhappiness they have associated with the Royal Family, perhaps the most respectful thing would be to completely relieve them of that association.
Their titles, their royal connections, their institutional ties. All of it.
Not as punishment, of course. Quite the opposite. It would simply be the Royal Family respecting their privacy and finally freeing them from the burden they have repeatedly told us they carry.
I do hope Charles takes care of it, but then I see how much of a soft spot he has for his darling son and his wife who lives overseas, and I lose hope.
Imagine the relief. No more titles, no more royal association, and most importantly, no more burden.
Harry and Meghan Markle deserve that freedom. ๐
