Non maze poster talk for a min: For the last several months I’ve been building out a SaaS for live sellers on @whatnot, @eBay, @tiktok_us etc. This weekend I built out the remote support service to help users with issues so I can help in real time and on their behalf. When support accesses a user’s account to troubleshoot, every action gets logged. But an audit log sitting in a normal database can be edited after the fact, and a customer has no way to verify it wasn’t. So now I hash each log entry and timestamp it on @hedera using HCS. If anyone touches the log later, the hash won’t match what’s on the ledger, and the mismatch is the proof. No token, no smart contract, just an ordered, tamper-evident timestamp trail for something that actually needs one: proving to a customer that “here’s exactly what support did, and when, and nobody quietly cleaned it up afterward.” HCS fit this better than rolling my own audit chain because I didn’t need consensus on state, just consensus on order and time. I’ve been wanting to use Hedera for a long time outside of minting my posters. Took me a few years to finally figure out what for. Oh and if you do any sort of live selling, let me know. Absolutely gutted to hear of @Glen_Hansard’s passing. I first heard @theframes when they released Burn The Maps. I grabbed the CD at a Border’s Bookstore on a whim because of a recommendation sticker on the packaging and fell in love with them instantly. I was lucky enough to see them in concert many times as well as The Swell Season several times too. I met Glen and Marketa before their first show in NYC and he was kind, generous with his time and grateful for the love and support from all his fans. 56 years young. Tragic ending to an unbelievable talent, voice and songwriter. My thoughts and prayers are with the band, Maire, Christy and his family.
