Roads are seeing more impact as surface temps cool. We still have 60 drivers running routes and will change crews at 11 p.m. Be advised of possible refreeze of slushy/wet areas overnight. Give yourself extra time and space when traveling, especially downtown with NBA All-Star.

Widespread snow continues through early evening before ending from NW to SE. Total accumulations will be 2-4" across central Indiana with locally higher amounts near/just south of I-70 where heavy snow is ongoing. Use caution! #INwx #indy

Freezing rain is expected with icy conditions expected by morning. Air temperatures may be slightly above freezing, but ice may still form on sidewalks and roads due to a very cold and frozen ground. If traveling, drive slow and safe! #INwx

Indy DPW is expecting 1-3" snowfall Thursday night into Friday morning, which will impact roadways. Officials with DPW are encouraging those who can work remotely on Friday to do so in order to help alleviate pressure on the Friday morning commute. Give our drivers space to work!

While the weather is clear today, mother nature is going to give us a second round soon. We’ve faced primarily ice and extreme cold over the last week. DPW used nearly 2,400 tons of salt since Jan. 8. Crews remains on 12-hour rotations to address weather Wednesday into Friday.
