Just wanted to give some insight on team USA because lots of people are talking about it. To be honest this is the most disappointing result I’ve ever had in my career. I can accept when I lose to a great team like Korea but it really sucks that we could not show any of the hard work we put in the past month. We were doing very well in scrims on the double flex comp post patch so we felt like it was the right direction, and I’d stand by the decision to play the comp. Everyone worked very hard on team USA, honestly probably the most dedicated team I’ve been on in a long time and the environment was way better than I thought it was going to be. We were genuinely very confident we could win but just couldn’t perform on the day. I hate to look back but I really wish this tournament or future tournaments will go back to double elim format, so if a team gets an unlucky bracket there is atleast more than one chance to prove themselves, but at the end of the day we did just fall short in the hour we needed to perform. Just saying this because I really really wanted to show how hard we worked and improved together, but sadly it just ended so fast. Sad result aside it was really an honor and a privilege to work on team USA and with our amazing coaches and players. Thank you to liquid for making this a great experience and giving us the opportunity. Im looking forward to stage 3 and china so I’ll keep this loss in my mind so I can keep working harder.
