The privacy pitch is that no permanent on-chain address means nobody can trace a payment back to you. The selective-disclosure feature only works because somebody still can. Fresh addresses per payment on @Americanfort_io do break the public trail, a stranger scrolling the chain can't link two payments to the same name the way they could with a fixed address. That half of the pitch holds up. But the same design attaches a proof connecting a specific payment to a registered identity, so an auditor can verify one transfer on request. That proof doesn't come from nowhere. Somewhere behind FortressName sits a registry mapping the name to an identity capable of producing that proof. So the actual claim isn't nobody can link your payments to you. It's strangers scrolling the chain can't, but whatever holds the registered identity mapping can, on demand, whenever asked. That's a meaningfully different privacy model than a system with no linkage at all. Selective disclosure requires a party capable of disclosing. The question stops being can anyone trace me and becomes who can compel that registry to produce the proof, and what protects the registry itself from being the easier target instead of the blockchain. None of that makes the design wrong, on-chain unlinkability plus off-chain accountability is a reasonable tradeoff for a payments product. But it's a different promise than your money, your name, nobody else's business, and neither post says who holds the keys to that registry or how it's secured. SafeSend also isn't live yet, so none of this settles real funds today either way. Curious whether the registered identity backing FortressName lives in a decentralized or zero-knowledge verifiable structure, or sits with a party that could theoretically produce a disclosure proof for someone other than the account holder.

I used to open my charts mainly to check $BTC and $ETH. That was pretty much the routine. Now I find myself checking gold, Nasdaq and forex almost as much. The reason is simple: markets are becoming harder to view in isolation. A Fed decision can move yields. Yields can affect the dollar. The dollar can move gold.
