Because once again it's popped up... the Ugly Female Character. We've seen it time and again, where the female lead is not terribly nice to look at, and people immediately mock the game. Now, some people say this is unfair... and yeah, this is true, however...

So the truth of the whole matter is that this whole mess isn't because the female lead isn't pretty. It's because we've gotten to the response that we see a character being uglified, and know it'll go hand in hand with the other crap. And frankly, we're just sick of it

I know it's been a rough... year... half a decade... alright, lets just say solid decade. But I think I have some advice for AAA game developers who are having trouble marketing to the current market of gamers out there. So lets get started!

6. Avoid hiring DEI and Sensitivity readers. No one gives a shit. Or rather, the people who do give a shit were never going to buy your game in the first place. It is a huge, pointless expense, and can be easily cut. Same with any political finger waggling in game. Don't.

Rough week, sudden bills, and big expense on the horizon. I think it's Murphy's law that every time you get a windfall something comes along and goes 'well actually...'. It's all so exhausting
