I think she handled that situation well. Not sure why it’s triggering so many people. Hopefully she can be a positive influence on the young lady’s life.

Wonderful teacher! This is how you deal with kids. She definitely just signed up for the mentor role tho.

so many kids just need a chance to be heard and understood, notice how the teacher still stood her ground on the rules while *also* making sure the kid was acknowledged. This is all it takes sometimes.

Love this so much. Nobody wants to TEACH the kids these days. Her parents let her get away with anything, and that doesn’t fly in the real world. She took the time and came down to understand her student, she was heard. That’s the shit that makes a good teacher.

Sometimes clarification can help! I said it many times IT STARTS AT HOME! These teachers bless them all because they gotta be mom dad nurse psychologists mentor mediators and much more and still have their own personal lives! After days like this!

She was so patient and kind when they started talking privately! I don’t have the patience so shout out to this teacher!

She just risked losing that child’s trust and respect by using their private conversation for her content 🤦🏽‍♂️ No such thing as privacy anymore

Supposed to de-escalate yet the grown adult acting like a child. "U ain't gon do nothing " "GET OUT BYE!" so immature and unprofessional no wonder the kid got triggered and defensive

Now this is damn good teacher! Allowed this baby to express herself openly and gave her an open opportunity to feel safe. To be soft. To be heard. To be understood.

as a literal teacher, any time i’m at work, i never think to prop my phone up and record myself arguing with my students🤣 like ever. i’m barely even on my phone if anything. i don’t see the point of tryna embarrass these kids for views

She needs a hug and some love from people outside her family teacher might not even realize it but she just became the only safe place for that child and I hope for the rest of her highschool years she continues to be a mother figure for her
