Students at Eindhoven University of Technology have designed the Stella Juva, a solar-powered electric ambulance for remote Kenyan communities. With a 444-mile range and a mobile clinic setup including an ultrasound, X-ray, defibrillator, and vaccine refrigerator, it is now being tested across Kenya. The vehicle addresses a real gap: the country has no centralized emergency number, average response times run 20 minutes to an hour, and only 26% of the public knows what number to call in an emergency.
