On September 1, 2026 at 21:44:51 UTC, 4 of the existing Constitutional Committee member terms expire. This action updates those 4 expiring positions. Without it, the Committee falls to just 3 active members and below the committeeMinSize of 5. This means that any Treasury Withdrawal, Update Parameter, Update Constitution, and Hard Fork Initiation actions cannot be ratified until the CC is at or above 5 members. This could potentially have a knock-on effect for the Dijkstra/Leios roadmap which will require constitutional as well as technical updates to Cardano.
