Gather round the Comet replica and Get taken on a journey down the river Clyde with storyteller Betty Skelton.
Join us at 2.00pm on Saturday 17th October to hear tales of the high seas and the wonderous creatures who call the water their home. Experienced and engaging storyteller, Betty Skelton will spend an hour transporting you from the bottom of the seabed to the top of the crow’s nest. All you need to do is pull up a seat and listen in to find out what’s lurking in the water.
The PS Comet was built in Port Glasgow in 1812, it was Europe’s first commercially successful paddle steamer. The new replica celebrates the revolutionary vessel and Port Glasgow’s relationship to shipbuilding and the Clyde.
This event is outside, hot drinks and blankets will be provided.
