"The influence of the future on the past," said Morel, almost inaudibly.
Twenty years ago, a thermodynamics professor gave an unusual extra credit assignment: read a 1940 Argentine novel called The Invention of Morel by Adolfo Bioy Casares. It connected entropy, impermanence, and the cost of immortality. I didn't fully get it then, but I do now. So I made it into a 5-minute AI film.
